Ahmed Shobair confirmed that Zamalek's management has expressed its approval for defender Hossam Abd El-Maguid to leave for Bulgarian club Ludogorets during the ongoing summer transfer window.
During his radio show "With Shobeir" on ON Sport, Shobeir revealed that Zamalek has requested a sum of €1.5 million from the Bulgarian club, along with an additional €300,000 in bonuses and 20% of any future resale of the international defender.
The Bulgarian side has accepted Zamalek's financial offer to purchase Hossam Abdel-Meguid's contract, thus closing the complex negotiations.
Shobeir concluded his remarks by noting that the Zamalek administration preferred to part ways with Abdel Majid to gain financial benefits, fearing a repeat of the situation with former star and current Al Ahly player Ahmed Sayed Zizo. This move was made to avoid a repeat of the Zizo crisis, where Zamalek insisted on keeping him and rejected a sale to the Saudi league for $10 million, only for him to later join Al Ahly for free after his contract expired.
