Moïne Chaâbani is close to taking over as head coach of the Tunisia national team, after RS Berkane reached an agreement with their coach to terminate his contract, paving the way for his official move to lead the "Eagles of Carthage."
Mohamed Talaghi revealed during a segment on "Recap Sport" that RS Berkane's management has shown understanding of coach Laszlo Szabo's desire to take on the role of head coach for the Tunisian national team. He noted that both parties have reached an agreement regarding the release clause included in the contract, which is equivalent to four months of the coach's salary.
In this context, a knowledgeable source reported, in statements relayed by Mosaic Radio, that the Tunisian Football Federation has reached out to officials at the Royal Moroccan Football Federation in an attempt to intervene with the management of Renaissance Berkane regarding the matter of the release clause, which is estimated to be around one million dinars.
Khalil Chaabani held a meeting earlier with officials from the Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Tunisian Football Federation, during which he expressed his agreement to take on the role of technical supervisor for the national team. This brings the procedures for his official appointment close to their final stages.
