Fiorentina has officially announced the signing of Spanish full-back Alex Jimenez on a season-long loan from Bournemouth. This move is part of the club's strategy to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
The agreement includes a purchase option worth €20 million, with no obligation for Fiorentina to make the deal permanent, giving the Italian club the freedom to decide at the end of the loan period.
Jimenez is 21 years old and previously progressed through the Real Madrid academy before moving to AC Milan, and then joining Bournemouth, where he played in 32 matches across all competitions last season.
Fiorentina hopes to see the player regain his best form in Serie A, having shown promising signs during his previous experience in the league, to strengthen the team's options at right-back for the upcoming season.
