Tottenham Hotspur has rejected a formal offer from Newcastle United for Swedish midfielder Lukas Bergvall, valued at around £46 million (€54 million), according to journalist David Ornstein.

The report clarified that Newcastle's offer exceeded all previous proposals made by Nottingham Forest, but Tottenham's management remained firm in their stance and refused to part with the 20-year-old player.

David Ornstein noted that all attempts to sign Bergwijn so far, including higher-value offers, have been rejected by Tottenham, who are only willing to sell the player if the offer reaches a financial value they deem appropriate.

Bergwijn is receiving considerable attention from multiple clubs in the Premier League, but Tottenham is still holding onto his services, making the task of signing him complicated during the current summer transfer window.
