Alex Baena has entered football history after Spain's national team clinched the 2026 World Cup title, becoming the first player to achieve three consecutive major international trophies in his career.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Atletico Madrid midfielder has crowned his achievements with the UEFA Euro 2024 title, followed by a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, before adding the 2026 World Cup title to his record.

During the Paris Olympics final, Paina scored a goal from a free-kick that secured the gold medal for the Spanish national team against France.

The newspaper added that this achievement makes him the first player in football history to win the Euro, Olympics, and World Cup in three consecutive tournaments.

While Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria have secured the same titles, their victories came at different intervals, unlike Baina, who achieved them consecutively.

This record is a new historic achievement for the Atlético Madrid player, who also played a key role in securing Spain's second star in its World Cup history.
