In terms of preparations, Al-Shabab kicked off their friendly matches in their training camp in Austria with a goalless draw against Romanian side Politehnica. The team is set to play three more friendly matches, facing Al-Nasr of the UAE on July 26, followed by Qatari side Al-Ahli, and then Algerian club Mouloudia. The coaching staff is working during the camp to raise fitness levels and improve harmony among the players before the start of the new season, after finishing last season in thirteenth place with 35 points.
