Levante has officially announced the signing of Algerian international defender Aïssa Mandi on a contract that runs until June 2028, as part of their efforts to strengthen the backline ahead of the new season.
Mandi, 34, has extensive experience in European football, having progressed through the ranks at Reims before moving to Real Betis in 2016. He then represented Villarreal before joining Lille for the 2024-2025 season.
The Algerian defender played 40 matches last season for Lille, including 29 in Ligue 1 and 11 in the Europa League. He also boasts an impressive record in Spanish football, having played 206 matches in La Liga, along with appearances in the Champions League and Europa League.
Mandi has been a key player for the Algeria national team for many years, participating with the "Desert Warriors" in the World Cup finals this summer. He is set to undergo a medical examination before joining Levante's training sessions under coach Luis Castro.
