Chelsea has entered the race to sign young Ivorian striker Yan Diomande, currently at RB Leipzig, during the summer transfer window as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

CaughtOffside reports that Chelsea's management has included the 19-year-old player on their list of targets, but they do not intend to pay the fee set by Leipzig, which exceeds €120 million.

The report added that the London club is preparing to test Leipzig's stance with a €100 million offer, along with a five-year contract for the player, after reaching an agreement on personal terms.

Diomande had previously been linked with a move to Liverpool, but the English club's interest has diminished, making Chelsea the leading club eager to secure the Ivorian talent.

Chelsea's interest comes after Diomande's standout performances with Leipzig, alongside his brilliance with the Ivory Coast national team in the 2026 World Cup, where he solidified his status as one of the most promising talents in European football.

The report indicated that Diomande contributed to 23 goals last season through scoring and assisting, while Leipzig is awaiting the official offer from Chelsea to determine their stance on selling the player during the summer transfer window.
