Chelsea has successfully secured one of their standout defensive signings during the summer transfer window, reaching a final agreement with Crystal Palace to acquire French defender Maxence Lacroix, as the Blues aim to strengthen their squad in preparation for the new season.
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Crystal Palace has officially accepted the offer made by Chelsea, while all personal terms have been agreed with the player, who is currently undergoing medical examinations in London, ahead of the official announcement of the deal in the coming hours.
Romano added that the value of the deal is £52 million, confirming that French defender Axel Disasi will not be part of the agreement, as negotiations between the two clubs were concluded based on a standalone financial deal without any exchanges.
Maxence Lacroix is expected to sign a contract with Chelsea that will run until June 2032.
