Aston Villa has finalized its agreement with Wolverhampton to sign Brazilian midfielder João Gomes, following a verbal agreement between all parties, as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer fee will amount to €40 million, plus €5 million in bonuses and variables, while Wolverhampton has accepted the offer, which equals £38 million.
The club has granted permission for the player to undergo a medical examination, paving the way for his official transfer to Aston Villa during the current transfer window.
