Manchester City has changed its plan to sign Moroccan midfielder Ayoub Bouaddi, opting to integrate him directly into the first team instead of loaning him to Lille, as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
TEAMtalk reports that Manchester City's management has informed the player's representatives of their desire to have the 18-year-old join Enzo Maresca's team right away, after the coaching staff was convinced of his ability to compete with the first team.
The same source added that the English club has shifted its interest to Bouaddi after retracting its contract with Sandro Tonali, alongside its reluctance to meet Newcastle United's financial demands for Bruno Guimarães.
The report indicates that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United continue to monitor the player, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid remain among the clubs interested in signing him.
The site confirmed that Bouaddi and his representatives are evaluating offers according to the sporting project and opportunities to participate with the first team, not just from a financial perspective.
The report also indicated that Lille is open to selling the player, but they would prefer to keep him on loan for an additional season if an agreement is reached with the club that will sign him.
