Newcastle United has entered the list of clubs vying for the signature of Zion Suzuki, Parma's goalkeeper, during the summer transfer window, following his impressive performances in Serie A and his standout display for Japan in the 2026 World Cup.
According to 'Football Italia', Suzuki is now a strong candidate to leave Parma this summer, with increasing interest from several clubs, notably Juventus and Aston Villa, alongside links to Paris Saint-Germain.
The report added that Newcastle has held preliminary talks with the Japanese goalkeeper and his representatives as the club seeks a long-term replacement, especially since first-choice keeper Nick Pope is 34 years old and has only one year left on his contract. The club has also ruled out a permanent deal for Aaron Ramsdale following the end of his loan spell.
The same source noted that Leeds United was the most persistent club in pursuing Suzuki, but the goalkeeper declined the move, believing he could join a bigger club in the near future.
Zion Suzuki continues to attract the attention of top European clubs, and his departure from Parma during the summer transfer window seems closer than ever amid growing competition for his signature.
