German coach Matthias Jaissle has apologized for not continuing negotiations to renew his contract with Al Ahly, despite both parties reaching a preliminary agreement to extend until 2029.

Al Ahly's management has submitted a new offer to the German coach, which includes extending his contract with the club for an additional three seasons, a proposal that he initially accepted.

However, Yasleh has withdrawn from finalizing the agreement in the last hours, after expressing reservations about one of the terms of the new contract, specifically regarding the value of the penalty clause included in the agreement.

According to "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper, the proposed release clause was equivalent to the coach's salary for only six months, which led Yaisle to decline the offer.

Al Ahly's management is striving to maintain the stability of the technical team, especially in light of the successes achieved by the German coach in recent times. Therefore, they continue to work towards finding a suitable solution for both parties.

Yaslah's future with Al Ahly remains uncertain as negotiations between the club's management and the coach regarding a new contract format are still pending.
