According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, Al Hilal has shown interest in acquiring Lucumi after the defender delivered impressive performances with Bologna in Serie A. The Colombian defender has become a target for several top European clubs, with Juventus, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Roma, Besiktas, and Bournemouth all vying for his services. Al Hilal continues its transfer market activities after finishing last season in second place in the Roshan Saudi League, with the management and coaching staff eager to bolster the team with experienced players. Lucumi, 28, possesses exceptional defensive skills, is proficient with his left foot, and is known for his strength in duels, in addition to his ability to build play from the back. The Colombian defender is under contract with Bologna until the summer of 2027, having become a key player for the team in recent years. Lucumi has played 152 matches for Bologna across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists, and he also represented Colombia in the recent World Cup.
